I was hit with a late fee on my credit card ($38) because my payment hadn't been received on the 26th of June. I had, however, posted a payment that was 3x the minimum amount due on the 3rd of June (23 days prior to the next due date). If the account runs on a 30 day billing cycle, how is it that I can be charged a late fee for not paying on their due date, even though an advance payment had been received? This is an outright fleecing, and American Express has showed no interest in providing good customer service nor removing that late fee. read full review »
