Two high school-aged girls came to our door in November 2008 selling magazines. They told us it was for a leadership program that they participated in, and that there was a contest (boys vs. girls) to see who could sell the most magazines. Whoever won got a free spring break trip. Wanting to support the girls and their program, my boyfriend and I ordered 2 magazines (Shape and Vegetarian Times) for about $90 total.
