I have a Directv DVD recorder. I also purchased the protection plan from Directv. When the DVD recorder malfunction, I called for a repair or replacement. I was told that every DVD recorder that Directv has is has the same known software problem and that Directv is working on a solution. No time period could be given for when or even if the problem would be repaired. Directv refused to refund the money I paid for a protection plan or replace the defective unit. I find this to be unacceptable. read full review »
