Complete scam. I received the same routine about needing to buy all sorts of "extra" things that digital cameras usually come with (e.g. battery and charger), then received the camera in a badly damaged "factory-fresh" box and with a photocopied instruction manual. Tried to call to process a return authorization number, no answer -- voicemail loop hell. Sent an email, no answer.
