Be careful when closing an account with Green Mountain. I had credit on the account and they purposely kept the account open so that each billing cycle, I would be charged the Advanced Metering Cost Recovery Factor. I called and aksed if they could close the account and they told me that they couldn't issue a check for the credit because it was below $10 and that their only option was to credit it to my checking account.
