I will never use 5/3 again. I got two credit cards in Feb of 07 at no interest for a year in order to pay for a home addition. The total was 35, 000. Our intention was to use the credit cards to pay the contractor, then have a year to get a home equity loan and pay off the cards so we wouldn't pay interest starting Feb 08. I always paid at least double the monthly payments on each card to stay ahead. I missed one month's payment by a few days on both cards.
