Hotwire sent me e-mail announcing reduced rates for the period in which I was interested. When I clicked through to the website the rates were nearly twice as high, as they had been a few hours earlier. There had been no change to the website. About two hours later Hotwire sent me another e-mail announcing rates of $12.95 per day. I was online less than 5 minutes after the e-mail.
