A "scam" can be defined as an attempt to intentionally mislead a person with the goal of financial gain. At Direct Buy there are no positives except for the franchise owners and the corporate ownership, who make amazing profits selling "nothing" for thousands. This business has changed names over the years many times (formerly UCC). When one party gets essentially "nothing" and the other party get thousands, this is a scam.
