Kenmore Sears Furnace installed 2005. "Control Board" failed Nov 2008. Call to Sears for service. "We can get someone there in 10 days" Called to a local Heating contractor, they were able to make a visit and get the Honeywell designed part that day. Cost of repair $740.00 Jan 8, 2009 Furnace failed again. Now the "exciter motor" has bit the dust. This furnace is sold as a "just-like-a-Trane" unit by the Sears reps. This is NOT even close to the truth! The motor parts are nothing like the Trane units. SEARS does nothing to care for their customers.
