So when I opened a checking account at TD Banknorth in Darien, CT it was called simply free checking, no fees, no minimum balance, free atm card from anywhere, etc...So apparently in March, TD Banknorth decided to do away with this bank account and now I have been charged with a $15 fee for not maintaining a minimum balance-which the bank debited from my overdraft protection. Is it just me, or should the bank have honored the simply fee checking for existing clients and just closed it for new clients? It make me mad that this bank can decide... read full review »
