Don't get FIOS. Or at least examine other options first. And expect that it will take your time and effort to get it all working. Before we had FIOS, our telephone landlines went down several times, for more than a week each time, and Verizon told us the only thing we could do to have reliable service is get FIOS. The indicated that soon they would not be supporting land telephone lines. We finally did have FIOS installed, and I regret not checking out other options.
