I bought a new sony 40" tv... after 58 days, we lost sound and picture. According to the repair service, "it was something major... they would have it back within 5 business days. It has been one month, so far, still without a tv. Sony blamed them, they blamed Sony. Neither would call back within the specified time, (by them) to let us know what was going on.
