My boyfriend just received a letter in the mail stating that he owed over $1, 000 in credit card debt with the Salute Visa Gold card company. The letter has the correct name, however, it has an address that he has never lived at, and to top it off, he has never even owned a credit card!! We just got this in the mail today (August 25, 2009) and the letter was dated July 15, 2009. This is not acceptable and we will be contacting Jefferson Capital Services as soon as he gets home. If we find proof that someone else tried to use his name when he was a minor (he is only 19 now), that person will be brought to justice. read full review »
