I entered a 8 day rental contract with Colones Auto Rental, and on the morning of the fourth day the car DIED on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. I promptly contacted Colones, told them of the situation and the location, and they assured me that they would send a tow truck and take care of the problem. They have subsequently charged me $750.00 for damage done to the car between the time I notified them and their retrieval of the automobile, and billed me for the full 8 days of rental!
