I just got a notice yesterday from a collection agency stating that I owed $160. I called the number listed on the form and was told that this was from a check that was written in July of 2006 on an account that was cancelled. I can't recall what I did last week let alone 3 years ago, but I do know that the account wasn't cancelled until WAMU was bought out by Chase and I'm irritated that I get no notice from them about anything amiss until I get a collection notice in the mail.
