The Venezuelan Consulate of San Francisco shipped my passport on Thursday, Aug. 27th, 2009 using a flat-rate Priority Mail envelope, en route to Los Angeles. It is now Sept. 3rd, one week later, well past the 5 day maxmimum period of Priority Mail delivery, and I do not have my passport. To make matters worse, I leave for South America the following Tuesday, Monday being a holiday. This essentially gives me one day to sort out my passport and visa situation, which is impossible.
