On December 16, 2008 my M & T checking account was debited $34.99. The debit was in the form of a check with an unusual check number. I called the number on the check and was told it was for a subscription to an adult webiste. I, nor anyone else, had authorized this transaction. I was told that my money would be refunded. I then went to my bank to file a complaint. They suggested that I file a police report with my local department. I did that. I was also told to file a complaint for internet fraud.
