I purchased my new car the middle of August 2003. The dealership arranged financing through AmeriCredit. The first payment invoice (which provided my account number, address for sending payment, etc.) was sent to me mid-September with a payment due date of October 5. The invoice indicated this was payment #1 of 72. At the end of my contract the final payment was 1 1/2 times the original payment amount.
