I have been a cardholder since 1991 with first First Union, then changed to Wachovia then lastly held by FIA. I filed for bankruptcy 9 1/2 yrs ago and since have keep an EXCEPTIONAL credit rating and rebuilt my credit through home mortgage, car loan, this ONE credit card along with the normal utilities. When I looked on my account today it said my account was CLOSED. I thought there MUST be a mistake because I have never been late in paying and 9 out of 10 times I will pay the entire balance.
