Certified Security, based in Jacksonville, Florida, has an automatic renewal clause hidden in fine print in a hard-to-read contract. The salesperson will not point this out. The company does not have to tell you first that they are automatically renewing the contract - they just begin billing you again out of the blue. The consumer has no choice in the matter, even if you write them and give them a 60-day notice, you're still hooked.
