I had purchased Ethan Allen bedroom and living room furniture in the early 1990s and was very pleased with the quality of the casegoods and upholstry. In 2008 I decided to purchase new family room furniture and visited my local Ethan Allen store. The sales person was very friendly until I did not go with her suggestions. I ended up purchasing several chairs, a new sofa and a few casegoods to the tune of $6000, which evidently was not a huge purchase in her eyes.
