On May 15th, 2009, I ordered a knife from TheBladeShop.com. Their web site advertised the knife as being in stock. I paid with a credit card. My card was charged that day. On the 18th of May, they sent me an e-mail stating that the item was on backorder and would be shipped in 2 to 3 weeks. On June 15th, I inquired about my purchase again.
