With the color HP printers, if your toner for one color runs out the printer will only print in black. But if you keep printing in black only, the other colors run out anyway. Is this because the amount of toner is not measured, but counted on the imbedded chip? Why else would the other colors run out without being used? Everyone knows that the toner is the costly part of the printers, so wouldn't this help HP sell more toner by having the toner cartridge lock up your printer without actually being low on toner? YES!
