I had an accident on August 7th, 2009. My insurance company (long island insurance) pays $30 per day for a rental, but you must put your money up in advance and they will reimburse you after. I did not want to do this because most insurance companies are not reliable when it comes to paying out or reimbursing. On Sept. 2nd, 2009 I had no choice but to rent a car because I had not gotten mine back by then. I rented a car from Sept. 2nd - Sept. 9th, a total of 8 days.
