I just returned from a 3 weeks international mission trip. I called the police to report my car stolen and I was informed that my HOA had towed it. Why? I asked. HOA thought it was abandon (sat in the same spot too long). When I called my HOA, she had received complain (maybe from some one who wanted my parking spot) that the car has not been moved for some time.
