Our son has had a credit card with HSBC for 3 years. He graduated from college this May. He has used this card responsibly, mostly to book airline flights, and has never been late with a payment and has always paid off the balance in full. In April, he received a notice lowering the $500 limit to $300. Why? Because he was graduating the next month into the worst economy since the Depression?
