2 weeks ago my husband and I closed our checking account because we moved out of the area and there were no branches around our new location. We changed our direct deposit from our works, however my husband's didn't get in on time so it still went to our old account at TCF Bank. Instead of sending it back, the bank re-opened our old account and deposited the money without mine or my husbands permission. We had no idea. We had to drive 50 miles to the nearest branch to get the money and to re-close the account. What makes them think they can just re-open an account that we closed without us knowing. read full review »
