On July 1, 2007 as part of a law suit, the state upgraded several jobs to a higher grade. This was done with out checking to see if the employee's actually performed the work tasks required for the higher pay. For example the painter supervisor at other facilities pay grades went from 42G to the new grade of 49G ($22.24 hr).
