Chevron deliberately refuses to process payments in a timely manner, and if you pay with the online system, even if you get confirmation, your payment may be deleted. You can tell them you have confirmation and be willing to provide it but you are out of luck. Per their people, the only way to guarantee timely processing of a payment is to use their phone system and pay an extra fee.
