Three months ago I was driving my children to a theatre performance in St. Augustine at the Florida School for the Deaf. New to the area, I got lost due to poor directions and suddenly out of no where a fire truck was directly behind me, sirens screeching. Paralyzed I moved neither left nor right but just prayed that they would not plow into my backseat where my 11 and 8 year old children were sitting.
