I cancelled my gym membership in July 2009 since I was medically unfit to go to a gym and was in rehab. I submitted my medical certificate to the gym personally and was given a letter for the same from the gym on an 18 month relief from the gym. I am getting calls from the debt collectors threatening calls for the amount of time that I have been releived from the gym that I owe them the money. This is illegal as I personally went to the gym to give my certificate of being unfit and they are still threatening me for the amount of money that I owe them.
