I used hotwire to book a hotel reservation, and was subjected to a bait and switch deal. I selected the designated area for the hotel by entering a US street address where I needed to be. Hotwire returned several options, and I chose a hotel that their website reported as "2 - 9 miles" from my designated address. Once I paid for the hotel, and was given its identity, google maps located this hotel as 15 miles away from my designated address (as opposed to the 2-9 reported by hotwire).
