I made a deposit to my checking account to cover a mortgage payment. Because the amount was not written in - the numbers were there just not the written amount - they did not deposit the check. Rather than notify me, they held the check for a week. Until the mortage payment bounced a week later, I was not aware that the deposit was not made. They said they called me but when asked what number they used, they gave me a three year old number which is no longer on my account.
