I recently obtained a debt consolidation loan to pay off some credit cards. When I contacted Bank of America to inquire about settling my balance, I was told there was no such option for customers in good standing. You see, I've never missed a payment, always paid more than the minimum balance, and over the last 4 years have been given BY THEM a credit line of $13, 000 of which I carry a balance of less then a third of.
