We have had a card member with American Express since 1999. We started using their flex pay account and have had this account for a while. I noticed that the payment amount was changing but not for the better. In May 2009, my monthly payment was $198.00 and after paying a little over $400.00 of the account my currecnt monthly payment is $216.00. When I called today to questions the payment amount increase, I was told that they change the way they calculate the payment from 2% of the amount due to 1% plus the interest.
