I bought a Hitachi 42" flat screen TV from Comet Greenwich store in January 2008. The set broke down in November 2008 and Comet took it away to be repaired. In January 2009 it was written off by Comet and they offered me a 'gift card' and told me to choose another. I declined this offer immediately saying that I wanted a full cash refund of £799.99 as I did not trust their products anymore.
