When WAMU was taken over by Chase, they bumped my credit card interest rate to 29.9 percent! I always pay my bills on time, never miss a payment. My husband is ill and lost his job, and I have been the sole wage-earner with no assistance from anyone or any agency. I called and asked them to lower my interest rate - and although they agreed that I am a loyal customer who always pays on time - they could NOT lower my annual percentage rate (APR) - period!
