I also have a compaint with Hotelclub for booking an apartment in New York. They charged me 200 USD calling it a deposit. Whereas their booking conditions describe this amount as an advance to secure the booking, the remainder to be paid at the hotel. Then in NY the hotel charged me a separate bill excl. the 200 USD. After several mails avoiding the matter, Hotelclub now calls these costs not a deposit nor an advance but reservation costs. This is a ridiculous amount but if it had been termed reservations costs it would have been clear. I find that Hotelclub misleads customers and treats them badly. read full review »
