My top-of-the-line Kenmore Elite HE 3t has been problematic since I purchased it in 2002. In Oct. 2009, it stopped draining. The Sears service personnel told me there were numerous problems with the washer, and repairing it would cost more than $1, 600 ($600 more than I paid for it). He also explained that the mysterious holes I had been finding in my clothes were being caused by the washer. Apparently the clothes were getting caught in a tear in the drum lining.
