We purchased a Frigidaire freestanding gas range from Lowe's in October 2007. In September 2008, I was wiping the white porcelain cooktop with a sponge and noticed shards of white porcelain on my sponge. The cooktop started to peel. I had an extended warranty from Lowe's and caled them. They told me I needed to deal with Frigidaire/Electrolux because it was under warranty.
