American Express knew exactly what they were doing when they raised and changed the interest rates and terms on many accounts in August 4th 2009 mailing. As I have been told by Amex customer service. "These changes went into effect before the Law changed on August 20th 2009". This law gives the consumer the right of a 45 day cancellation option.
