I was amazed to learn this morning that Safeway chose to open their store(s?) in Washington DC during the entire (inauguration) day. I daresay that 98% of their personnel are Obama supporters and, apart from that, that it was entirely foreseeable that hardly any customers would (be able to) come in that day anyhow (as indeed they didn't). I think it's antisocial to offer up your workers' happiness to the gods of money and consumerism 365 days a year, no matter the circumstances. read full review »
