My wife and I purchased a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica in October 2007. When we divorced in March 2009 she was awarded the car and was ordered to take over payments and refinance. By May she had not made a payment. I was told by Americredit I had to be paying for it, which I understood but I really thought she would refinance. I got the car back in May 2009 and was approximately 4 or 5 payments behind. I worked to catch up the payments and was one payment behind when I was involved in a car accident on July 10, 2009.
