We spent $1500 on a glass top slide in Kenmore Elite range. The oven was used only 3 years when we started getting error messages when we tried to turn it on. We called an appliance guy out to check it and apparently the self cleaning oven feature burns out some of the sensors. He said that he is seeing this quite often with kenmore and whirlpool. They cost oveer $500 to replace . I called both kenmore and sears (Kenmore of course told us to talk to sears, and sears told us to talk to kenmore..)--basically got the run-a-round.
