We opened a BB&T Student Account two years ago for my son while he is in college. We selected BB&T becuase they specifically offered an account aimed at students. It has an ATM card only, no check book. A few days ago, he made a miscalculation of his available funds and made three transactions of between $1.08 and $3.67 which were AUTHORIZED by BB&T (as a courtesy) for which he had insufficient funds.
