When I got my Capital One Lowes Visa account several years ago, I was offered 5.99% forever. Guaranteed. All was good. In comes GEMoneyBank. I called them to ask if my interest rate would change. I was told they would honor the agreement that Capital One had. Well, I happen to look at the interest rate box this past statement, and it says 9.99%. I looked back, and apparently GEMB took it upon themselves to bump the rate to 9.99%.
