I was involved in an accident in which my car was totaled and taken to Interstate Collision & Service Center (a storage facility for vehicles). After beign notified by the person at fault's insurance company the car was cnsidered a total loss, I was told to go gather my belongings from my car. I showed up to Interstate Collision & Service Center with the vehicle's title, and 4 different types of ID.
