I won a rifle on a live internet auction from Conastoga Auction Co. Inc I pay the 18% buyers premium, a $5 handling fee, and now they want to hit me with a $195 shipping fee. I do live in Alaska and expect to pay a bit more. So I figured in $60 for shipping ($60 is the highest I have ever paid) usually i can get one shipped up her for $35. My complaint is not with Proxibid, i think it's a great sight, IF I am not gouged by unscrupulous Auction houses like Conastoga Auction Co Inc. I think Conastoga Auction Co. Bought a 1894 winchester from them on a live internet auction, they sent it in a box 5 times to large so shipping fees were high, it arrived with a broken upper tang, no problem right? i'll just file an insurance claim with USPS tried to get them to send the insurance stub that USPS has to have...It took 4 phone calls to get them to send it and two weeks.
