My husband and I had two loans out with Citifinancial. We paid off our first mortgage with them, and tried to refinance the second one to get a lower interest rate. They sent an appraiser who actually devalued our property after we had our home updated. We put in new heating and air conditioning, new electrical system, all new windows and doors, and the stupid appraiser gave our home less value than before it had all these upgrades.
