I am an electronic technician since more than 40 years. I worked for different companies as bench repair tech for any consumer and pro units. I am wondering about all consumer manufacturers, no matter is they make TVs, cameras, GPS, mp3 players, etc. MY POINT IS THIS: I think they put a timer in every unit operation system software that COUNTS the working hours to have the unit "stop working" or "be broken".
